Human trafficking, referred to as modern day slavery, is a growing global and national concern and is affecting us here in the state of Maryland more than the public is aware.
Please join Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Beta Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter on Saturday, January 20th for a workshop to bring awareness to this major issue in our community. We will be joined by speakers who are actively engaged in the fight against this horrible problem and will be advising attendees on what human trafficking is and explaining what we can do to fight back as well as identify and assist victims in our area.
We are also collecting donations to benefit victims of Human Trafficking, which can be dropped off at the event:
Deodorant, lotion, body wash, sanitary napkins (urgent need), tampons (urgent need), shampoo, conditioner, women's razors, shaving cream, hair spray and lip balm.
Donations are NOT mandatory. We hope to see you there!
